Fayette County Pitch Contest: Do you have a great idea? Pitch it!

The Fayette Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Launch Fayette and Jason Hunter Design, presents the Fayette County Pitch Contest, a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their business ideas.

PITCHING 101

A pitch contest allows entrepreneurs to present their business concept to an expert panel, competing for a cash prize. Participating is a valuable opportunity to gain experience, receive professional feedback, and refine your business idea.

A panel of pitch committee volunteers will score and analyze your executive summary, operating, managerial, financial, and marketing plans. Those selected for the pitch contest will have 5 minutes to pitch their concept, followed by 5 minutes for questions and answers with the judges.

As an initiative of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce, StartUp Fayette is dedicated to fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem that drives innovation and growth in Fayette County. We’re here to help you turn your ideas into successful ventures by connecting you with the resources and community partners needed to launch, grow, and accelerate your business.

Each monthly StartUp Fayette event is designed to be a stepping stone toward your success. Pitch contest participants are strongly encouraged to attend at least three in-person StartUp Fayette sessions prior to entering the contest. These events take place on the third Tuesday of each month, 5:00-7:00 PM, at Launch Fayette in Peachtree City, Georgia.

Your attendance fuels innovation and empowers dreams right here in Fayette County.

The event kicks off at 5:30 PM. Grab a bite to eat from a food truck out in the parking lot and come in for some casual networking.

Requirements

  • Non-refundable participant fee of $35 must be paid along with application
    • Please note, this fee does not secure your placement for the Pitch Contest on November 19, 2024
  • Individuals, groups, or organizations that have an innovative idea are encouraged to apply
  • All industry sectors are welcome to participate, with plans to grow and expand in Fayette County.
  • Must be prepared to pitch in-person on November 19, 2024

Moses Jones & Eboni Nichole, SkeduleUp – The business aims to connect small business owners with local deal seekers by offering an affordable platform for businesses to promote their deals and announcements. The app will keep local consumers informed and engaged with the companies they love and want to support.
  3. Sonya Jennings, Te Te Sonya’s Heart – The company will create unique keepsakes and mementos designed to inspire and affirm children from birth to 16 years old, offering gifts that provide encouragement in the moment, inspiration over time, and lifelong treasure—both physically and emotionally. Starting with high-quality, customized pillowcases, bedding, and gift kits, the business will expand to include additional items and meaningful experiences, all rooted in the spirit of Hebrews 10:24: “And let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.”

Audience Choice: Aadi Vaidya, TremorTech – TremorTech is an innovative wearable technology designed to help individuals experiencing tremors regain control and stability in their daily lives. Utilizing advanced motion sensors and real-time feedback mechanisms, TremorTech actively counteracts tremors, providing a smoother, steadier range of motion. This groundbreaking solution empowers users to perform tasks with greater ease and confidence, enhancing their quality of life through cutting-edge technology.

The 2023 winners were…

  1. Bryttany Hyde – The Little Sober Bar
    The basic idea for Bryttany’s business is to sell non-alcoholic beverages to consumers from locations all over the state, offering a new option for social gatherings.
  2. Shanara Sanders – Round The Way Vegan
    Shanara wants to put Fayette County on the map with it’s own plant-based food oasis.
  3. Shakena Day – Taste Hydration
    Shakena and her husband believe that true health and wellness starts from within, at the cellular level. They understand that what we consume daily has a major impact on our health and performance. They envision Taste Hydration being more than just a company that offers cold pressed juices and teas.
