Presented by Steven Newton
Choosing the right legal structure is one of the most important decisions a business owner will make. In this informative session, Steven Newton will walk entrepreneurs and small business owners through how corporate form directly influences liability, risk exposure, and long-term protection.
The presentation will include a practical review of Title 14 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (OCGA), with particular emphasis on the differences between partnerships, limited liability companies (LLCs), corporations, and other corporate structures. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how each structure functions, how it limits liability for business-related actions, and what it means for protecting personal assets.
This session is especially valuable for new business owners or those considering restructuring, as it will highlight best practices for maintaining a clear and defensible separation between business and personal assets — a critical safeguard for sustainable growth.
Join us on Tuesday, March 17 from 5–7 PM at Launch Fayette for an evening of education, connection, and community. Pizza from Your Pie Peachtree City will be provided.
